knowledge is the key to unlock doors of freedom

When I visited the chikhaldara (a small village in north Maharashtra) where this incident happened. I was taking the pictures of one old temple over there (may be its Parshuram's temple, not remember exactly though) and after some time one poor family; father and his two kids : one boy & this girl came to see that temple. But there was a strange ritual at this place that, females are not allowed inside that temple. "Pujari" over there did refuse to let her (little girl) enter inside that temple. So her father asked her to sit outside & he went inside temple with his son...

She was very angry and staring straight at the entrance of temple but she didn't drop a single tear from her eyes ! that's the moment captured in this picture.

I was observing all this incident from the distance and after taking pictures, I went there and had a chat with her. She did not understood why her brother is allowed and why not her ?

For a moment I was speechless and clueless about how to answer her innocent and genuine question !

But then I told her that :
The "Pujari" is not well educated so he doesn't know what's right and wrong, but promise me you will study hard and get well educated and then come back so you can teach him what's right and wrong and will be able to get inside the temple !

After that I showed this photo to her on my camera screen, the tear which was held so strongly till that moment got way out of her eyes and she smiled...

-Harsh.
